“Hope”

”Hope” is a charcoal that has the secondary medium to tell the story. In this instance, it’s the addition of oil pastels that represent the blooming of the flowers. I wanted the dire and dark inherent mood set by the charcoal to be juxtaposed by the vibrant color and “Hope” of the burgeoning flowers. It is a very nice piece.

All original charcoal compositions are made with Strathmore 300 series medium surface paper and Derwent premium charcoals. 13x17.
