“Clownin Around”

One might presume that the fact so many people have a fear of clowns might be directly attributed John Wayne Gacy. Gacy was a serial killer that would perform at hospitals and charity events under the name “Pogo the Clown” or “Patches the Clown”. Which is a horrific concept , and truly off the charts as far as they creep “ factor goes.

This mixed media piece showcases a multitude of elements that were needed to pull off this macabre art keeper. The clown part of the work is done as a traditional magazine scrap collage, with the other “Personality” of the face built up thru layers of photos and foam board . It really does have a lot of textured depth.

The original is 18x24 and has a canvas style floating frame, wall ready!
