“Peacock Boa”

I returned to do another Hendrix piece after a couple year hiatus from working with this badass. The bright colors and line drawing negative space suggestion of the guitar makes this a pretty “dope” watercolor.

Mark’s watercolor portraits are intended to be a stylized hybrid of a slight caricature style with still enough realism to bypass the cartoony element depicted in most caricatures.

All original watercolors are made with Strathmore 300 series mixed media paper. This painting includes a 16x20 greenish wood frame (to accent the color of Hendrix’s boa scarf) and white matting.
